We're helping those struggling through job losses and job searches in the economic downturn with a program called “Job Search” each Wednesday from 9-11am at the Resource Center (Fort Collins campus).
We've recently seen over 25 of our own members find jobs through the program! With growing number of job leads, volunteers with resume or interview training and food and clothing resources, we are encouraging the community to join us and find practical skills and encouragement by coming together and sharing experiences.
Job Search provides computer, internet, and printer access, contemporary resume and interview resources, and even offers clothes for interviews. Despite the growing number of resources and support, however, Job Search is essentially a time for people to connect and find emotional and spiritual encouragement over a free bagel and coffee.
While struggling to find a job can quickly lead to despair, intense stress, or a daily fight to just get out of bed, we believe we can point people in a positive direction with the most valuable asset that anyone in a dire situation can be given: hope. If you're looking for a job, join us!
